Which in about two years you will have someone young enough to play in the jungle and you can sit with a cup of coffee.

I don't like Starbucks either.

I agree that environment will be biggest factor. Who really likes to hang out, read a book, or just chill with friends in the McDonald's environment? But I guess if I have young kids who want to play in the jungle gym, it would be nice be able to get a quality coffee drink to sip while they play...

To me it seems like you have two very different clientele. Will McDonalds be able to provide an environment that invites people to linger? Seating, lighting, and aroma all seem like tough obsticles for McDonalds. If they targeted the older people it could work but I think this idea is as difficult to pull off as Starbucks putting up a jungle gym for kids.
