Where Can I Serve?

This is a question every pastor loves to hear. You can never hear it enough! There are always places in the ministry of the church that are in need of servants. It’s easy to see things getting done and feel like your contribution of service is not needed…but you couldn’t be more wrong! The truth is that there are many people serving in multiple roles…just waiting for you to step up and serve and take one of their posts.Check out this blog post by another pastor about serving in the church and spiritual gifts.

So here’s a list of immediate openings at LCC:

Lynn Schmitz needs an assistant for the fellowship ministry. She needs someone to tear down and clean-up the refreshment area on a weekly basis after the services. Email lschmitz1@comcast.net.

As you may have noticed, attendance has steadily increased since the fall. We are thankful for the increase and along with it comes an opportunity (and a need) to increase the number of greeters for Sunday morning. In addition to the outside greeters, we also need to have greeters inside to help folks find seats. If you are interested in helping in this area, please contact Mike Cerda via email at cerda_mike@yahoo.com.

We’ve recently had several regular faithful nursery and preschool workers either move out of the area or move to another ministry. We have needs for people to serve once per month in either of these ministries. Contact kristie.buttram@lifecc.us.

Our regular drummer will be leaving around the end of March, so Josh is searching for a new drummer for our worship band. Read more about that here.

Jamie is looking for youth workers…people who want to pour their lives into 7th-12th grade students. Contact jamie.mcbride@lifecc.us.

Donald is seeking additional hosts and/or leaders for our life group ministry. Could you open your home at least 2 times per month for a small group Bible study? Contact donald@lifecc.us.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? It’s time to jump in and serve.
